Sean, owner of X-Treme Comics in Boca Raton Florida pointed out that this is an issue that many readers and fans might not have seen coming. In this issue we take the tour of duty with Flash into the war torn region of the Middle East. As with any war, tragedy will ensue as this comic so vividly details. I was living in Brooklyn, New York at the time of 9/11/01. I was taking a shower getting ready to go to a doctor's appointment in uptown Manhattan. Getting out of the shower my mother calls up and tells me to turn on the television. The first plane had already hit. While speaking with my mother, the second plane hit. After the initial shock, I went downstairs from my studio apartment to meet some friends to see if I went to work that morning. I worked in One World Financial Center right directly across the street from the towers. While downstairs talking to my neighbors we noticed that it started snowing black and gray ash. It was sticking to our clothes and our hair as to remind us all that we weren't dreaming. I lived exactly 45 minutes away by way of a token and a subway ride from downtown Manhattan. If you stood on my rooftop, you could squeeze the Trade Centers between your index finger and thumb in the distance. That's how far it was, it was snowing black and gray ash on us.
